Sean Porter’s intimate and naturalistic style is a culmination of over 10 years of feature, documentary and commercial work. Sean recently photographed the film Eden, which won the 2012 Audience Award at SXSW, directed by Megan Griffiths (The Off Hours). Grassroots by veteran filmmaker Stephen Gyllenhaal, is being released theatrically by Samuel Goldwyn Films. Bass Ackwards, Sean’s collaboration with director Linas Phillips (Walking to Werner) premiered at Sundance in 2010. His work on the international award-winning documentary Sweet Crude earned him accolades in the Variety and ‘Best Female Images in a Movie’ by the Woman Film Critic’s Circle in 2009 as well as the Cinema Politica Audience Award in 2011. Sean graduated from the University of Washington with a BFA in Media Production and Design. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife and son.
